The children are expected to be seated in the auditorium no later than 3:30 pm (Kindergarten-Grade 4) and 5:15 pm (Grades 5-8). Parents will drop off children at the IHM School main entrance (door into the auditorium) and a volunteer will walk them to their seats. Please be sure that your child arrives on time. When a child arrives late, it disrupts the process of getting all children to their classrooms in a timely and orderly fashion. If something unavoidable causes you to be late, please ring the bell on the Boulevard entrance (our office side) and not the bell located at the school's main entrance.
Also, please be sure to pick up your child on time after class. Dismissal is at 5:00 pm (Kindergarten-Grade 4) and 6:45 pm (Grade 5-8). Grades K and 1 are dismissed from their classrooms and Grades 2-8 will be dismissed from the auditorium. If you know you are running late, please contact the office by phone 914-723-7593.
If you arrive later than the 5:05 pm or 6:50 pm pickup time, we will bring your child down to the Religious Ed Office and you will need to come in to get them.
This year we are asking parents to complete a simple online Absence/Change in Dismissal Form if your child will be absent from class or if there is a change in the dismissal plan. For example, if your child is allowed to be a walker (dismissed alone), or they can be dismissed to a sibling or someone other than a parent, we need to know. The form will be automatically emailed to the main office and forwarded directly to your child's teacher. This will help us to ensure the safety of your child and cut down on back-and-forth emails and phone calls. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
